Raquell Mccorvey

Raquel McCorvey is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a diverse background. She initially earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University at Eunice, followed by a BSN and MSN from the University of St. Francis. She then furthered her education with a Psychiatric Mental Health Post-Masters certification from McNeese State University. Throughout her career, Raquel has taught CPR classes, held several leadership positions such as Director of Nursing, Branch Supervisor, and Hospice Triage/On-Call Team Leader, and gained valuable experience in areas such as ER, ICU, Congregational Health, Medical-Surgical, Primary Care, Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care.

Raquel is the proud recipient of the Transformational 6 Figure award for achieving 6 Figures within 6 months of starting her business. As the CEO and Founder of BeLuxxe Health and Wellness, a medspa in Lafayette, Louisiana, she combines beauty and aesthetics to provide holistic care to her community. She is also a master storyteller, professional legal nurse consultant and certified death doula, enriching her practice with diverse skills and expertise. She works for a local nonprofit hospice agency, seeing patients in their homes and in their inpatient hospice facility as needed.

Raquel's passion lies in empowering women of color and helping not only her patients but also other nurses reach their full potential. She is a proud member of the Black Nurse Entrepeneur organization. She is committed to supporting her community and is currently a board member of the U.S. Express Track Club and Lafayette Council on Aging. She is a former Advisory Panel member of the Lafayette Community Healthcare Clinic, demonstrating her dedication to community health and wellness.

Currently, Raquel is working on expanding the services offered at BeLuxxe Health and Wellness to better serve her clients. She is also focused on coaching, consulting, and mentoring other nurses to help them achieve their professional goals. Additionally, she is involved in speaking engagements to raise awareness about mental health and business development. She has spoken at the Mental Health Awareness Summit; N.E.X.T. Level Business Summit; Our Mind, Our Community, Our Mental Health Matters Summit; and at South Louisiana Community College.

In conclusion, Raquel is deeply committed to her profession and strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those she serves. She is dedicated to continuous learning and growth, and she looks forward to continuing her journey of empowering others and fulfilling her purpose in healthcare.
